Dollar Shave Club announced that it was acquired by consumer retail powerhouse Unilever for $1B in an all cash transaction. Founded by Mark Levin and Michael Dubin in 2011, DSC had raised $163.5M across 5 rounds. The news of this exit bodes extremely well for the LA tech ecosystem. The company which had 190 employees will boast a number of newly minted millionaires who will drive the future of the LA early investing and entrepreneurial ecosystem.
