Evan Owens, founder and CEO of Pogoseat, was at a baseball game and saw seats closer to the field that he wanted. When he inquired about moving down to them, he was told there wasn’t a way to do this. He felt it should be as easy as a few quick steps from your cell phone, which is how Pogoseat came to be.
Tell us about the product or service.
Pogoseat is an enterprise solution for sports teams and concert venues that enables fans to upgrade seats and purchase unique VIP upgrades during events. Our mission is to provide fans with the ability to optimize their live entertainment experience and teams and venues a platform to increase fan engagement, monetize unused inventory and gather data to improve the fan experience.
How is it different?
We have a client dashboard, focus more on data, and take the initial price of the ticket into account in determining the upgrade price.
What market are you attacking and how big is it?
The live entertainment space, a multibillion dollar market.
What is the business model?
We partner with sports and live entertainment venues to offer patrons seat and fan experience upgrades. The upgrade process all happens right on your phone.
What are the milestones that you plan to achieve within six months?
Continued innovation on fan and client features and well as overall user experience.

What does being “Made in LA” mean to you and your company?
It’s great to be a part of such a vibrant community! Since it is smaller it is a tight knit group. It really feels like being at the beginning of something really special.

Cross fit and surfing are office favorites. We of course watch and play a lot of sports as well.
